Pastor Kai believes the church should be the most welcoming place on earth for people who don't go to church. Her heart for ministry is fuelled by a passion to meet people right where they are in life, regardless of their background or past experiences with faith. She understands that we all have unanswered questions and areas of doubt, and she is committed to creating an environment where those can be explored without judgment.

Her journey into ministry wasn't a straight line. Like many, she spent years "lost in the middle," trying to balance her faith with the realities of daily life. This personal struggle gives her a unique empathy and a strong desire to help others navigate their own spiritual journeys. She loves the "unchurched" and prioritizes going after the “one,” just as Jesus spoke of in Luke 15, (this is where she conceived our name, ONE Church!)

Pastor Kai is known for her relational, down-to-earth teaching style that brings the Bible to life in a way that's easy to understand and apply to everyday challenges. Her teachings are designed to be accessible to everyone, from lifelong believers to those stepping into a church for the very first time! Pastor Kai likes to say she “teaches, not preaches!” She focuses on practical, gospel-centered teaching, rather than complex religious jargon.

Pastor Kai holds a degree from UNC-Greensboro, and is a current Master of Divinity student. When she's not leading the congregation, you can probably find her spending quality time with her husband, Justin, and their two children, studying, or teaching others through her online Bible Study platform.
